::..THE SECRET BEHIND Djogja unique architecture..::

Tugu Jogja must be familiar. Although it’s current form is already a reworked from the original. Tugu Jogja is an imaginary pivot point of the city of Yogyakarta. Right in line when drawn north is Mount Merapi and on the south are the Stage Krapyak. From this reference Jogja city development. Palace and alun-alun follow this imaginary axis, so that between Mount Merapi, tugu, Palace, panggung Krapyak, and the South Seas when drawn line is a series of north-south.
Until now too many imaginary axis Jogja interpreted. People say that the southern part of Jogja is considered more sacred than the north. That is why development and modernization experienced more northern than the southern part of Jogja.

Laying the Kraton Yogyakarta is located right in the middle of the flow of the river that divides two Jogja. western part of the Qiblah of Muslims in Mecca and overlooks the northern part of Merapi. In Yogyakarta there are actually two palaces, the other being the former royal palace is a palace Kotagede Mataram.
There is a concept owned palatial in general, namely the concept of catur Gatra. The concept of catur  Gatra is the existence of four elements in the palatial, the palace, the plaza, mosque and market. To Kraton Jogja, mosque is Masjid Gede Kauman west of the north plaza, and its market is Beringharjo market in the north palace. Whilst to Palace Kota Gede, mosque is the Great Mosque of Mataram, and the market is definitely Kotagede market.
